.Jewelry made during the reign of Queen Victoria (1837-1901). Many styles of highly ornate jewelry were
produced during this period of growth and prosperity and countless examples still exist. Typical jewelry
of the period includes Cameos, Lockets, Mourning jewelry, Etruscan jewelry and Renaissance revival styles.

_Edwardian Jewelry .
Splendid jewelry made during the reign of King Edward VII of England (1901-1910). It is
characterized by delicate but elaborate filigree work. When you look at these pieces from the
front the stones are set in platinum, but from the back the structure is yellow gold.

Art Nouveau Jewelry .
Jewelry made between 1885-1915, often characterized by sinuous plantlike forms and gently
flowing lines. Sometimes in bizarre shapes of dragonflies, bats, irises and lillies. These pieces
were occasionally enameled in beautiful colors. Those signed by Rene Lalique, Galle, Tiffany,
Faberge and Boucheron are very valuable.

Roaring 20's Jewelry .
When most people hear the term Estate jewelry it's usually this type of jewelry that they picture
in their minds. Nearly everyone's mother or grandmother had jewelry like this.It is characterized
by carved scroll patterns and pierced filigree designs. Pieces contained large center Diamonds with
smaller Diamonds, Rubies, Emeralds, Sapphires or Onyx.

Art Deco Jewelry .
Unusual jewelry made in limited quantities in abstract geometric forms, inspired by Egyptian
patterns and modern art. Onyx, Jade, rock crystal and coral were often used with Diamonds,
Emeralds , Rubies and Sapphires. Many of the more valuable pieces were signed Cartier, Charlton,
Van Cleef and Arpels and Raymond Yard.

Retro Modern Jewelry .
This jewelry typically comes from the 1940's. This jewelry reflects the escapism and exuberance during
and after World War II. Bow patterns, scrolls and sweeping curves are common. The jewelry was often
made in unusual combinations of rose, green, and yellow gold. Eccentric mixtures of Aquamarines, Topaz,
Amethyst and Rubies were common. Look for Pieces signed by Seaman Shepps.
