it was $850.00 an ounce.....Today it is about $425.00 an ounce

Green Gold = Silver and Zinc and Yellow Gold
Pink (Rose) Gold = Copper and Yellow Gold
White Gold = Nickel and Yellow Gold
The dark discoloration of the skin under a ring or necklace is due to the reactance of the alloys in gold
( i.e. silver and copper) to the acids in the skin. Cosmetics,lotions and detergents become trapped under
a piece of jewelry and begin to irritate the skin. Removing jewelry before applying lotions and cleaning
jewelry frequently will help alleviate this problem.
